5-21-2014 - Day 1
Hey everyone..... Joe Tim and Ken survived the pain of the first day. Oh it was ugly. Crummy roads, gobs of traffic 129 miles and 8800 feet of climbing that came on all at the end. It is always better to get your climbing done when you are fresh or spread it out over the day. That did not happen.
We knew it was going to be an ugly day. Plus we are just starting the tour our bodies need to adjust to 100 miles a day and bikes that weigh over 70 pounds.
